Strengthening institutional capacities of the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education in Azerbaijan (EU funding). Achim is senior expert for accreditation and quality assurance in HE and VET, and for recognition of foreign qualifications.
Tasks
- Analysis of national legislation on higher education, vocational education, recognition of foreign qualifications and quality assurance in higher education
- Analysis of national quality assurance system
- Development of new accreditation standards and procedures

Evaluation of the Quality Enhancement Framework 2 of the Quality Board for Icelandic Higher Education and proposal for next phase.

Project 1
Technical assistance for support and strategic consultations to the State Inspection for Supervision of Quality of Education (SISQE) and the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan (MHSSE) on external and internal Quality Assurance (2020-2022; World Bank funding). Achim was key expert for external quality assurance.

- Pilot evaluations of three quality assurance agencies: Commission on Higher Education of the Republic of the Philippines (CHED); The Indonesian National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (BAN-PT)
- The Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA)
- Development of new governance strategy and structure for ASEAN Quality Assurance Network (AQAN).
