1. Policy guidance and system development
Policy guidance on quality assurance and regulation in higher education and vocational education, development of legislation for quality assurance and regulation; development of organisational structures incl. quality assurance agencies, and quality assurance procedures; development of institutional quality assurance systems; thematic analyses.
Strengthening institutional capacities of the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education in Azerbaijan (EU funding).
Achim is senior expert for accreditation and quality assurance in HE and VET, and for recognition of foreign qualifications.
Tasks
- Analysis of national legislation on higher education, vocational education, recognition of foreign qualifications and quality assurance in higher education
- Analysis of national quality assurance system
- Development of new accreditation standards and procedures
- Development of new recognition procedures
- Training for staff of agency
- Supervision of pilot accreditation procedures
Evaluation of the Quality Enhancement Framework 2 of the Quality Board for Icelandic Higher Education and proposal for next phase.
2. Training/Review support
Training of and support to leadership and staff of higher education institutions and quality assurance agencies in the preparation of external evaluations; including support in preparing self-evaluation material reports and training for site-visits.
